gifting ideas pt1
what i am gifting or have been gifted or would like to be gifted
1. egg cups
in denmark it is common for people to gift loved ones a present for each sunday of advent. philip and i did this 2 years ago since we were in denmark and then skipped it last year while we were in mexico and not feeling so festive. but this year we are picking up the tradition again. we celebrated 1 sunday early since we will be apart from nov 26-dec 23. i gifted him these egg cups with room for salt made by ann-charlotte ohlsson. the most fun way to buy them is to go into tadaima and choose your favorites between what they have in stock, each is unique so it is enjoyable to see which you gravitate towards most.
2. bodha scent testers (aka perfume oil mini collection)
bodha is my hands down favorite scent brand. i love their smokeless incense and i love their perfume oils. tbh i have never purchased their candles because i dont love the vessels they come in but i am sure they are lovely as well. that being said i know a lot of friends who also love the scents but have a hard time deciding or dont live in a city that sells them SO the perfume oil mini collection is a perfect thing to gift.
personally i think air will always be my spring / summer dream scent. but i have since also purchased moon and plants.
3. i think these are the most beautiful glasses

i have a set of 2 at home but i would like more. not going to lie, i am a bit scared i might shatter one every time i use them but it also brings me so much pleasure to use them. this is the size i have, but i also love these, or even these for extra hydration. and honestly gifting wine glasses is also so nice. i love a versatile wine glass that disregards the shapes for grapes.
4. sophie bille brahe jewelry boxes
something i didnt think i needed until philip gifted me one of the first sunday of advent and now it makes me so happy when i see it and i think it is the perfect place to store my rings / jewelry on top of a dresser or on a shelf. he also gifted me an earing form sophie bille brahe a few weeks ago and so it feels fitting to have a box to go with it. this is the one i have. they also have larger sizes like this one and this one. perhaps ill wish for a larger one next year & maybe some more jewelry to store inside ;)
5. going to the ballet
my family has enjoyed attending the ballet since i was young so it holds a special feeling and some lovely memories. philip gifted me a ballet outing for christmas 2 years ago and we still havent been. this is my reminder to revisit what is playing and suggest a date night.
6. aluminium pepper mill
i personally dont think it makes sense to keep salt in a mill, but pepper on the other hand, i think is very necessary to keep in a mill. especially a lovely mill that looks beautiful on the shelf or countertop. this pepper mill is quite lovely and although i think the brand is a bit mainstream / trendy / overpriced, i do like this mill and think it is a perfect gift for someone who appreciates cooking and good food and also beautiful functional objects.
7. sote rings
i love the chunky simplicity of these rings. citrine and tiger eye are my favorites in the matte silver but they have so many other nice rings that i am tempted by as well like this or this.
8. sezane socks
i recently received some wool socks from sezane and i am very pleased with them. philip also liked them so i gave him a pair. when looking further into it, i realized i ordered mens socks but when they are a thick cozy wool i think it is okay for them to be a bit oversized (as long as they are not falling off). sezane also had other good basics in organic cotton / wool and their price point is quite good. i just got philip these 100% wool mitts.
